indoorin  on February 11th, 2012

@re4gamez They’re basically like the Navys version of the national guard. This is the simple form of what they do.

huskie767  on February 11th, 2012

The Navy’s CNO, ADM Gary Roughead and his Chief of Navy Personnel VADM Ferguson are both promoting a diversity policy that chooses personnel based on skin color. Is the Navy’s policy a violation of Federal EEO law?

re4gamez  on February 11th, 2012

The USN-R: America’s 17th line of defense, after the Mississippi ARNG and the League of Women Voters.

So i speak Tagalog (Filipino) fluently as well as a local dialect of the Philippines called Bicolano. I also speak English obviously, and i am studying German at school, and Korean and Japanese for fun during my spare time. I see that Tagalog is a CAT 4 language where you have to score around a 95 to be able to study. Since i already speak a foreign language, do i still need to undertake DLAB testing? or can i just go ahead and pick another language i want to learn? I wanna be a CTI in the Navy.

I am a language training coordinator for the US Navy. There are really no guarantees for what language training you receive when you come in the Navy. It all depends on your DLAB, ASVAB and other factors. Yes, your desires are factored in, but needs of the Navy come first. Any questions, please let me know…

I’m a senior in high school.

If I was guaranteed a job as a Russian Interpreter in the Navy, I would sign the papers right now.

I love the United States.
